Things I've made trying to put my dent in the universe.

I've worked on tons of little projects as well as complex systems of systems over the years but these are the ones that I'm most proud of and can share publicly. The majority of my professional work is confidential as it involves government projects. However, a few of my personal projects are open-source. If you come across something that sparks your interest, please feel free to explore the code and contribute improvements if you have any ideas.

Long Term Projects
Below are some of the long term projects that I have had the opportunity to continually work on and influence throughout my career. These efforts have been some of the most rewarding and challenging experiences I've had, and I am proud of the progress and impact that I've made. Whether it was leading a team or multiple teams, collaborating with clients and stakeholders, architecting systems, modernizing legacy solutions, or greenfielding innovative new solutions, these projects have allowed me to grow and develop my skills in meaningful ways while providing impacts to warfighters for twenty years.

Integrated Imagery and Intelligence (I³)

At its core, Integrated Imagery and Intelligence (I³) is a suite of all-source intelligence analyst lifecycle capabilities for Order of Battle (OB) and Force Disposition. It integrates multiple Intelligence Tactical Decision Aids (iTDAs), including Improved Many-on-Many (IMOM), Integrated Weapons of Mass Destruction Toolset (IWMDT), Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield (IPB) Web, Joint Targeting Toolbox (JTT), Weather Analysis Tool (WAT), and Joint Threat Analysis Tool (JTAT), to enhance the underlying intelligence. This integration produces a Common Intelligence Picture (CIP) that improves Situational Awareness (SA) in support of the Common Operational Picture (COP). I³ also provides warfighters and commanders with rapid intelligence data through curated and tailored data-fusion capabilities for near real time Command and Control (C2) decision making. In addition, I³ supports intelligence sharing between national, theater, and tactical units from multiple sources, including (but not limited to) the Modernized Integrated Database (MIDB). The system also includes utility capabilities for dissemination, geo-visualization, and data management.

Global Command and Control System Joint (GCCS-J)

The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Global Command and Control System Joint (GCCS-J) is the Department of Defense (DOD) system of record for Joint Command and Control (JC2). Fielded worldwide for more than two decades, it delivers the integrated, near real time Common Operational Picture (COP) and situational awareness required to plan, execute, and manage joint and multinational operations across United States and coalition networks. GCCS-J provides information processing and dissemination capabilities to the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, Services, Defense Agencies, Joint Task Forces, and their components, linking national level authorities to operational and tactical echelons. Operationally, it fuses ground, air, maritime, and space tracks and related operational status data for United States, coalition, and adversary forces, and supports mission workflows ranging from planning and force management to missile warning and tracking, including the display of missile launch events. GCCS-J also serves as an authoritative data source and integration backbone for a wide ecosystem of mission applications, interfaces, and downstream operational capabilities used by the Joint Force and partners.

Completed Projects
This section showcases some of the projects that I have completed. These projects have allowed me to develop my skills and creativity, and I am proud of the work that I have done. Whether it was designing and implementing a frontend application, building Web API's for consumers, modeling intelligence domains, developing marketing campaigns, mentoring team members, or creating a new product, each project presented its own unique challenges and opportunities for growth. Please look and see what I've accomplished and the value my team and I provided to users and warfighters.

Force Disposition Tracker (FDT)

A web application that allows users to track the disposition of forces in a given area of operations. It is a modern Common Intelligence Picture (CIP) that accelerates a warfighter's decision cycle from combatant commands to unit level operations across the full spectrum of Command and Control (C2) Situational Awareness (SA), planning, execution, and assessment. Force Disposition Tracker (FDT) is the modernization of the Integrated Imagery and Intelligence (I³) tools and the Intelligence Support to Command and Control (ISC2) problem space.

Kessel Run (KR)

Kessel Run is an initiative focused on transforming the way the Air Force develops and delivers software capabilities. By leveraging industry-proven software development practices and combining them with the expertise of highly skilled Airmen, Kessel Run aims to break through layers of government bureaucracy to rapidly provide cutting-edge capabilities to the warfighter. This joint initiative, led by the Air Force Lifecycle Management Center (AFLCMC) in partnership with the Defense Innovation Unit Experimental (DIUx), is dedicated to modernizing the Air Force's Air & Space Operations Center (AOC) and Targeting community. I had the opportunity to help kick off this effort in 2017, laying the groundwork for its continued success.

Platform Enablement, Development, & Operations

Built and operated a classified software delivery platform, including developer tooling and a container orchestration environment. The goal was to do whatever was necessary to help product teams do their work better and faster: operating infrastructure, building tools, busting problems. Through developer enablement, platform operations, and platform engineering activities, we enabled product teams to deliver working software that warfighters actually wanted to use in a continuous way that reduced risk, delays, and security controls while increasing the rate of change, confidence, and feedback loops.

Sea Warrior Program

The Sea Warrior Program (SWP/PMW 240) manages a complex portfolio of information technology (IT) systems that enable the Navy to support Navy human resource management, criminal justice, Fleet Support, afloat business applications, Navy and Department of Defense (DoD) portfolio management, Department of Navy (DON) administration, and joint aviation aircraft scheduling. The SWP's portfolio includes 11 product lines comprised of 20 initiatives, 29 systems, and 14 applications. I supported a number of these efforts including the Identity and Access Management (IAM) modernization.

Joint Command & Control Architecture Core Team (Joint C2 ACT)

This coalition supported the systems engineering activities associated with the Joint C2 Reference Architecture (RA). This effort was under the Office of the Technical Director within the Program Executive Office for Command and Control Capabilities (PEO-C2C) at the The Defense Information Systems Agency's (DISA). This task order provided systems engineering support focused on the Joint C2 Family of Systems (FoS) transition and compliance with the Joint C2 RA.

Joint Command & Control Common User Interface (JC2CUI)

The Joint Command and Control (C2) Common User Interface (JC2CUI) provided a single entry point for the warfighter to access C2 capabilities via a Web-based frontend. JC2CUI provided a discoverable marketplace for capabilities implemented with Ozone Widget Framework (OWF) based technologies that spanned the C2 domain and extended to an enterprise set of capabilities made more readily available to warfighters. The common user interface allowed the warfighter to customize their desktop preferences and presented capabilities that scaled to fit mission needs with the use of cloud computing and collaboration services at the enterprise.

Command and Control Rapid Prototype Continuum (C2RPC)

Command and Control Rapid Prototype Continuum (C2RPC) coupled emerging science and technology developments with advanced prototypes and experimentation processes that explored maritime operations center operational level of war needs at several fleet commands. It also served as an incubator for technology concepts that produced capabilities that were transitioned by Program Executive Office (PEO) Command, Control, Communications, Computers And Intelligence (C4I) and related C2 programs of record (POR).

Net Enabled Command Capability (NECC)

NECC was going to be the Department of Defense's (DoD) principal Command and Control Capability (C2C) that was to provide access to a net-centric strategic, operational, and tactical environment. The intent was to replace the Global Command and Control System (GCCS), but the program was cancelled in 2009.
